GRETA SCHUSTER
Greta works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and dance-teacher in Berlin. In 2018 she completed her BA for contemporary dance at 'The Place-London Contemporary Dance School'. The studies offered her the opportunity to learn from great choreographers and colleagues and offered platforms to create and develop stage-pieces as much as side-specific work and dance on screen. What makes her move since years now, is this ability of dance to spread joy and energy through the body and to connect groups with this power. For her Dance is about sensations, that are connected to memories, images and feelings. In her projects, Greta often works by creating similarities and connections between people, situations and objects that are not necessarily related, but seem absurd and funny at first glance. The aim is to get a changed perspective on general images and their protagonists and perceive them differently. For the creation of the movements she prefers methods of improvisation, often connected with the imagination of different elements. As a dancer she worked with choreographers such as Anima May, Lore Dekeyser, Rixa Rottonara, company Luna Park by Kosmas Kosmopoulos amongst others. Her own creations have been shown at the 'Theater an der Parkaue', 'Alps-move' festival in Bolzano (IT) , 'The Place-Ben Howard-Teatre' in London, and at the'Brotfabrik' in Berlin.
